The mission of the Silicon Valley Screenwriting Group (SVSG) is to help local screenwriters of every skill level  to hone their craft and find the support and motivation needed  to keep writing.

Founded in 2005,  the SVSG serves as a resource for Bay Area screenwriters, providing guidance and support in all areas of the field.  We offer networking opportunities, critical feedback on works-in-progress and a sense of community for our members.  We subscribe to the philosophy that we all learn from one another.

The group meets  on  the second Saturday of each month.  

 

We are looking for  beginning,  intermediate, or advanced screenwriters over the age of eighteen.  You must reside in the San Francisco / San Jose, CA Bay area. 

You will have put time and effort into learning the craft of screenwriting both through study and achievement to bring your skills to the next level.

If you are serious about screenwriting, then this is the place for you.  At the SVSG, we place great emphasis on motivating and supporting our members.
